In 1862, Louis Ernest Ladurée left his native South-West to set up a bakery in Paris, at 16 rue Royale. Now a patisserie and then a tea room, the store on Rue Royale, with its superb décor by Jules Chéret, welcomes the Paris of the Belle Epoque.
150 years later, the House of Ladurée, now established on five continents, continues to distinguish itself by the sweetness, lightness and variety of its creations, from famous macaroons to delicate, colorful religieuses.
