An architectural challenge
Inaugurated in January 2015, the Philharmonie de Paris brings together the new building designed by Jean Nouvel and the existing Cité de la Musique designed by Christian de Portzamparc. In this way, this large ensemble will combine all approaches to music, contributing to the renewal of artistic, educational and cultural offerings, both locally and nationally. Behind its impressive architecture, the building houses concert halls, a museum and a media library, as well as spaces dedicated to the organization ofprofessional events.
With its fully-equipped auditorium and 300m2 foyer-bar, the museum is ideal for seminars, conferences, meetings and symposia. A large hall with several fireplaces and exceptional acoustics is also available for cocktails and prestigious receptions.
The museum also offers temporary exhibitions, an extraordinary collection of instruments and cultural activities around the theme of music.
