Ingredients (serves 6):
– 400g strawberries
– 60g flour
– 125g sugar
– 1/4 liter milk
– 200g fresh cream
– 1 packet vanilla sugar
– 2 eggs and 2 egg yolks
– a few drops of orange blossom
Recipe:
– Preheat oven to thermostat 6 (180°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, vanilla sugar, flour, whole eggs and egg yolks. Gradually add the milk until you obtain a smooth, homogeneous paste. Add the cream, flavour with a few drops of orange blossom and mix. Make a reservation.
– Butter an ovenproof dish. Wash the strawberries, remove the stalks and cut in half lengthways. Arrange them on the bottom of the dish.
– Spread the pastry over the strawberries. Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
– Sprinkle with powdered sugar straight from the oven and leave to cool before serving.
