Ingredients (serves 4) :
– 1kg mirabelle plums
– 1 untreated orange
– 150g liquid honey
– 1 vanilla pod
Recipe:
– Rinse and dry the orange. Remove the zest with a zester knife. Split the vanilla pod in half.
– Pour 15cl water, honey, orange peel and vanilla into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, turn off the heat, cover and leave to infuse for 10 minutes.
– Bring the syrup back to the boil and add the washed and dried mirabelles. Poach over low heat for 10 minutes. Add a drizzle of orange juice. Pour into a dish and refrigerate for 2h00. Serve chilled.
